Electronic Delivery with Fabasoft

Delivery in Slovakia

Electronic delivery via Fabasoft eSP is based on a secure, signed e-mail correspondence between a public authority and a citizen or a representative. Fabasoft eSP can be used independently in addition to as an additional product for Fabasoft eGov-Suite

Applications can be submitted electronically by the applicant, either via Fabasoft eGov-Forms or via e-mail. In both cases, an e-mail is sent to an e-mail server that - in cooperation with Fabasoft eSP - confirms the receipt sending the applicant a digitally signed and time-stamped acknowledgement of receipt. In the public authority, the submitted e-mail is checked for viruses using an antivirus scan engine via the ICAP interface (a standardized interface to antivirus programs). After this, the e-mail is filed internally. After having successfully verified the digital signature and the e-mail is free of destructive content, the acknowledgement of acceptance is sent to the applicant. Immediately after sending the acknowledgement the e-mail is sent to the official in charge for further editing. Those mechanisms avoid transferring destructive content or messages, changed during transport, for further editing.

During dispatch, the sender's address is determined via the official in charge's e-mail client and Fabasoft eSP. Before the e-mail is sent, an electronic signature and a time stamp are applied – or else Fabasoft eSP declines acceptance. Afterwards this digital signature is verified and it is possible to supplement or replace the digital signature by the one of Fabasoft eSP. The applied digital signature contains a time stamp for traceability.

This approach guarantees a secure communication with the applicant. The digital signature and the time stamp enable verifying relevant documents in a legally secure way.
