"ELAK im Bund"

The "Elektronische Akt" (ELAK) is a central element of the e-government initiative in Austria to bring about benefits in the whole federal administration and is used in 12 federal ministries (circa 8,500 users).

The basis of the solution was the ELAK concept 1.1, which was developed by the federal and local government in Austria. It contains a comprehensive specification catalogue for electronic file management (more than 800 requirements, covering the areas of DMS, DMI, workflow, file management, and archiving).

For the "ELAK im Bund" solution a pre-configuration based on Fabasoft eGov-Suite was created, which implements the "ELAK im Bund Reference System 1.0" specification. Thus, a country-wide standardized solution is available. Fabasoft eGov-Suite focuses in particular on the areas of DMS, workflow, history, and rights management.

Currently about 63.5 million entities (objects) are managed by the system, including:

11.5 million incoming documents
0.9 million decisions.
7.5 million Microsoft Word Objects
0.6 million Microsoft Excel objects
60,000 Microsoft PowerPoint objects

The rights management concept should be highlighted. A client domain concept supporting cross-departmental processes was implemented. Assignment of access permissions to other departments is performed dynamically using standard workflow functionality in Fabasoft eGov-Suite.

Project "Kunst.dat"

The "Kunst.dat" business application has been implemented based on Fabasoft eGov-Suite. The SAP interface between the application and HV-SAP was implemented using XML and SOAP technology.
The user receives an electronic file in their worklist using a predefined workflow. Using workflow activities, the user initiates a SOAP-call to HV-SAP data will be transferred to SAP as XML via a web service.
After processing the invoices in SAP another SOAP-call is initiated, where data in Fabasoft eGov-Suite will be refreshed and the workflow can continue.

Project "DVR-Antrag"

Creation of the concept and support with the implementation of the business application integration "DVR-Antrag".

"ELAK im Bund"/Fabasoft eGov-Forms

The connection of Fabasoft eGov-Forms to "ELAK im Bund".
Implementation of applications (solicitations) in eleven different departments (clients).
Data from the online forms is saved in XML format in a DMZ in the Fabasoft eGov-Forms domain. Using a Fabasoft eGov-Forms push method the XML data is transferred using SOAP-calls to a Fabasoft Components web service and on into the ELAK system (Fabasoft eGov-Suite).
