Now in its tenth year the congress fair "Moderner Staat" will be held on 28 and 29 November 2006 in Berlin. The software company Fabasoft will be at the trade fair to present software products for across-the-board process management. Visitors to the Fabasoft stand will be able to take a close look at projects that have already been realised – including successful implementations of the Fabasoft eGov-Suite at federal level, in ministries and in the Free State of Bavaria.
Across-the-board workflow management is a key issue in Germany for state departments, Länder and local councils to increase service quality while reducing costs at the same time. With the current Version 7 of eGov-Suite, Fabasoft will be demonstrating software that can take full advantage of this potential.
One innovation in Version 7 is the fully integrated search function Mindbreeze Enterprise Search for comprehensive knowledge management. Furthermore, users can implement eGov-Suite Version 7 in both operating system worlds. On the one hand under Microsoft Windows – also already under Windows Vista – in connection with the entire Office product range and, on the other hand, under Debian Linux in connection with OpenOffice.org.
The ELDORADA project
With ELDORA the Free State of Bavaria rolled out one of the largest e-Government projects in Bavaria one year ago. ELDORA will establish a ubiquitous and standard DMS and workflow processing solution throughout the Free State of Bavaria. In the meantime the first government offices have started in a live environment. In the next stage the DMS project is to be expanded to further government offices at all levels of public administration in the Free State of Bavaria. Fabasoft is a reliable and professional partner to the Free State of Bavaria in this large-scale undertaking.
Feedback reports from satisfied users
While Fabasoft product family applications are being demonstrated on the trade fair stand two satisfied project managers will be present at the Best Practice Forums to report on their experience in implementing the Fabasoft eGov-Suite within their projects.
Marina Gonzalez, Head of IT and Organisation at the German Federal Railways, will speak on the introduction of electronic workflow management system at the federal railways office in the DOWEBA project in Hall 8.2 on 28 November from 10.05am to 12.35pm.
Simone Herrmann of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology will be at the Best Practice Forum in Hall 7c on 29 November from 1pm to 2.40pm to talk about the implementation of the "eAkte" project at the ministerial offices.
