On 17 October 2006 the General Secretary's Office of the Justice, Police and Military Department (JPMD) of the Swiss canton Basel-Land awarded Fabasoft CH Software AG the contract for a GEVER (from the German GEschäftsVERwaltung – business administration) solution following a call for tenders. The decisive factor was the best price-performance ratio offered by Fabasoft out of all the tenderers.
On 3 December 2006 the Justice, Police and Military Department BL represented by the General Secretary signed an extensive framework agreement with Fabasoft CH Software AG. What makes the framework agreement so groundbreaking is the fact that other Departments of the canton Basel-Land can also become involved under the title of the framework contract of the GEVER strategy of the JPMD. The framework contract regulates the procurement and handling of the Fabasoft products for the entire canton.
Besides the framework agreement of the state and the canton of Thurgau, the JPMD of the canton of Basel-Land is the second of 23 cantons to have chosen Fabasoft's standard software.
